The engine is not only powerful, but very well balanced. At idle, the engine is hardly noticeable and runs very smooth. This further adds to the luxurious feel of the car. This PV56 was delivered new in Sweden in 1939 to mister Jönsson, a farmer. In 2019 the car was bought by a gentleman out of Halmstad. 2 years ago, the car came into possession of its last owner, who set out to make the car perfect again. With the running gear of the car still in excellent condition, the cosmetic aspect of the car was taken care of. The car was professionally resprayed to a very high standard in its Burgundy red colour. To complement the new paint on the car, the chromework was als redone to give the car an as new look. Pictures of the respray are also on file.

The Burgundy colour does not only look good on the car but also accentuates the smooth lines of the bodywork and makes it stand out even more. On the front of the car, we can see the newly finished chrome bumper. Just behind, we can see the modernised radiator grille. This has been made more sleek compared to its predecessor. This does did not only make the frontmore streamlined but also gave it a more modern look when it was introduced. Going over to the side we can see the side steps, which was very common on cars from this time period, and just above the signature suicide doors. Going over to the rear, we can see the PV56 specific rear luggage area. This has been enlarged to give more room in the luggage compartment and makes acces easier.

Looking at the interior, we can find a beautiful period correct woven cloth interior. This is still in magnificent condition and can be found both on the seats and on the door cards. During the restoration, the carpets of the car have been replaced due to old age. The new carpets give the interior a fresh and well presented look and work well with the woven material of the seats. Going over to the dashboard, we can find the freshly finished speedometer, which was a new design on the PV55 and PV56. In the centre, we can also see the original clock. This is a rarity to be still in the car after all these years. Not only the carpet was replaced during the refurbishment of the car but also the headliner.
