“Collection by Vermant” is please to be able to offer you this magnificent Audi RS4 B5. The RS4 was the successor of the renowned RS2, which was co-developed with Porsche, and was the first time the A4 series was given the RS treatment. Unlike its predecessor, the RS4 was not developed in collaboration with Porsche, but by the famous engine and race car builder Cosworth. They are best known for their successful engines in Formula one and their work on the early Lotus cars. The RS4 was equipped with a 2.7L V6 engine that was paired to two turbochargers. This meant that the engine had a total power output of 380 horsepower, which was quite a lot for a family estate car back in 1999, when it was launched. This power is sent through a six speed manual transmission and then onto the famous Quattro four wheel drive system. This really makes the RS4 a fun and engaging car to drive, regarding the weather conditions.

This specific RS4, was used as a demonstrator for the dealership (Audi Vicenza, Italy) for several months, before being delivered to its first owner on the 15th of June 2001. He kept the car for a further 5 years and maintained the car at the original supplying dealer. It was then sold to its second owner, an individual from Germany. He only serviced the car at Service Fischer (Audi specialist) and Wagner Motorsport (Porsche Specialist). In February of 2014, the car went to its third and final owner, which was also a German individual. At this point in the car’s life, it had only covered a mere 64.000 km and no expense was spared on keeping the car in excellent condition. Under the third owner the car remained under the care of Service Fischer and was also maintained by Audi Reisinger.

When looking at the exterior of this RS4, we can find the beautiful Silver colour of Avus Silver. This is a very nice colour that has slight blue hue to it depending on the light. This colour suits the RS4 very well and disguises the car’s sportiness very well. On the front of the car, we find the RS front bumper which has been enlarged for the wider track of the car and the bigger radiators in the front. These changes are however very subtle. On the side of the car, we can see that the RS4 is equipped with 18” aluminium wheels that fill the wheel openings nicely and sit flush with the flared wheel arches. On the rear of this RS4, we can see the subtle dual chrome exhaust pipes on the left. A more sporty feel was given to the rear bumper by adding 3 grilles.

Going over to the inside, we can find a beautiful black Valcona leather interior. This is a very high quality leather that has withstood the tand of time very well. Due to the careful use of its previous owners, the interior is almost in brand new condition with only minimal wear on the drivers seat. To give the interior a more premium and sportive feel, Recaro seats were offered as standard on the RS4. These give great support for all occupants and are automatically adjustable in the front. To aid in the visual appearance of the interior, Carbon fibre was chosen for the inlay on the dashboard and the doors. This is a very nice material and was still hardly used on road cars, when this Audi went into production. To further complement the premium feel of the interior, a Bose Audio system was optioned in combination with a sunroof. Both of these options, make the car more pleasant to drive on longer or more casual drives.

This RS4 gives a unique possibility to acquire a future classic in very good and unmolested condition. With most of its siblings being used and abused over the years and often driven a few hundred thousand kilometers, this RS4 is a true survivor and will give its driver enjoyment for many more years to come!
